The Intertidal project aims to engage public with Intertidal biodiversity of the Howe Sound in British Columbia. The chair is designed for both human and non-human use. With each passing tide the chair will become less of a seat for humans and more of a home for aquatic life. Its form relates to the archetypal chair for human use however the additional legs and tabby clam shell texture are added to provide places for non-human life to live/hide/grow.
